*Please be advised that due to the cost of absolutely everything increasing, there may be increases to the prices stated on the website. We will do our best to let all those who have RSVP’d know the full cost increases when we are able.

R S V P

The ROMP is not a big job, but many, many small jobs executed by various members of the Rosebud ROMP family. Please help us out so that everyone can have time to enjoy the party. To help make sure we get everything covered, please check off your top three preferred volunteer jobs and we will narrow everyone down to one piece of the work:

FAQ's Frequently asked questions

Please be advised that pets are no longer allowed inside the hall.

1.Q. Where/who do I pay for the weekend?

A. There will be money box by the bar and a clipboard with a sign-in sheet. Or ask the bartender if you don’t see the money box. Please bring exact cash if possible. Costs are: $25/adult per night, $10/adult for Sunday pancake breakfast; $15/unit per night – costs subject to change in 2024.

2.Q. What is the food situation?

A. Friday night we will provide burgers, sausages, buns and condiments, so please bring a salad or dessert to share. On Saturday you need to bring your own breakfast and lunch, in the evening we will be providing beef on a bun and baked potatoes, but again, please bring a salad or dessert to share. On Sunday, there is a pancake breakfast. For other meals on Sunday, there will be some leftovers available but be prepared to feed yourselves lunch and dinner. On Monday morning, everyone is on their own for breakfast. Also bring whatever snacks you prefer to eat during the day/evening. There is a large BBQ grill that will be available to use and there is a stove/oven in the hall. We do not limit allergens, so please be aware and bring food for yourself and your family accordingly.

3.Q. What else should I bring?

A. BRING LOTS OF WATER! And then bring some extra! The tap water at the hall doesn’t taste very good and sometimes the quality is debatable. We recommend bringing lots of water for you and your family, it can get very hot in the valley in the summer. BYOB, plus ice and mix and drinks for your kids. Bring a cooler for your food and drinks – there is very limited space in the fridges at the hall. See the question about the food situation. There is no gas station, grocery or liquor store in Rosebud, and the nearest ones are in Drumheller which is about a 20 minute drive from Rosebud. You may want to bring lawn chairs to sit around outside in comfort.

4.Q. What is there for my kids to do?

A. There is a small gymnasium in the basement but limited gym equipment. We would appreciate others bringing their well-labeled gym equipment (basketballs, soccer balls, floor hockey pucks/sticks) to share for the weekend. There is shuffleboard inside, an outdoor playground that is fenced but not fully enclosed, there is a baseball diamond, and lots of outdoor space to run around! There will be things like bubbles, sidewalk chalk, colouring books and play-doh for younger kids as well. Also, see the Things To Do tab under “Event Info” for other activities in the area. There is no wi-fi, haha!

5.Q. Can I bring my pet?

A. You can bring your pet but pets are no longer allowed inside the hall.

6.Q. Who can play music/sing?

A. ANYONE! We will have a special time slot for kids to show-off their talents before supper on Saturday, but we really encourage anyone who wants to sing and play to organize themselves to do so and let us know through the Open Mic tab. We like to keep a party vibe on the Friday and Saturday evenings, but Sunday is an evening for anything.

7.Q. I have other questions, who can I ask?

A. See the Contact tab and get in touch either by submitting your question or by emailing romprosebud@gmail.com and we’ll respond to you as soon as we can.

8.Q. Will John sing “Never Gonna Give You Up” again?

A. He did say he would never let us down, so…….

RSVP Let us know if you're interested in joining the jam time.

Open Mic is the opportunity to share your musical talents with friends and family – and we’re all family by now, aren’t we? We have a lot of space for open mic sessions so gather your spouse and other friends and family members and put some songs together! We can't wait to hear you!
