1996 - The Priddis Invitational Guitar Symposium (PIGS) was born; a gathering of family, friends and musicians in Priddis, Alberta. It was so successful, a tradition began that celebrated music, friendship, and good times.
2004 - The tradition moved to Rosebud and became the Reunion of Musical Patriots (ROMP).
Present - The Rosebud Romp is now a two day event that includes open mic on Friday nights as well as numerous performers, golf games, card tournaments and more.
2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the Romp!
This event requires a lot of work. Due to the growth and expansion of the ROMP, it's become clear that it could not be organized and managed by just a few dedicated people. So with the blessing of the founders and organizers, the next generation of ROMPERS created this website and have taken over much of the organization. While we want to maintain a casual get together that is fun and memorable, we know it is only possible by asking all attendees to pitch in and keep the ROMP going.
Please be aware that there may be a cost increase to the 2024 event. We will update everyone who has RSVP’d with any increased costs as soon as we are able.
